Arrive in Windhoek and settle into the rhythm of Namibia. Visit the Christuskirche, Independence Avenue, and the Craft Centre. Dinner and an early night before the adventure begins.

Accommodation: Hotel or lodge in Windhoek

Route: Windhoek β†’ Sesriem / Namib Desert (approx. 5 hrs)

Drive west into the oldest desert on Earth. Arrive at Sesriem in the afternoon and walk the narrow 30-metre-deep gorge of Sesriem Canyon, carved by the Tsauchab River. Watch the sunset paint the dunes in shades of amber and crimson.

Accommodation: Lodge or camp near Sesriem

Route: Full day exploration near Sesriem

The highlight of Namibia: climb Big Daddy before sunrise, explore the iconic white clay pan of Deadvlei with its 900-year-old dead trees, and hike the Sesriem Canyon. Stargazing later in the world's darkest skies.

Accommodation: Lodge or camp near Sesriem

Route: Full day in Namib-Naukluft Park

Explore the Naukluft mountains β€” limestone plateaus threaded with trails. Mountain zebras, springbok, and raptors inhabit this rugged terrain. A photographer's paradise.

Accommodation: Lodge near Naukluft

Route: Namib β†’ Swakopmund (approx. 3 hrs)

Reach the cool Atlantic coast at Swakopmund β€” a charming German-colonial town with great seafood and adventure activities. Settle in and explore the town at your own pace.

Accommodation: Hotel or lodge in Swakopmund

Route: Local exploration around Walvis Bay

Board a catamaran from Walvis Bay for one of Africa's best wildlife boat experiences β€” playful Cape fur seals, bottle-nosed dolphins, pelicans, and on lucky days, whales. Afternoon free for optional activities.

Accommodation: Hotel or lodge in Swakopmund

Route: Swakopmund β†’ Skeleton Coast (drive north)

The Skeleton Coast is one of the world's most evocative coastlines β€” fog-shrouded, littered with shipwrecks, and home to the thundering Cape Cross seal colony. Eerie, beautiful, and unlike anywhere else on Earth.

Accommodation: Lodge near Skeleton Coast

Route: Skeleton Coast β†’ Damaraland (approx. 4–5 hrs)

Enter the volcanic heartland of Damaraland. Visit Twyfelfontein, Africa's largest concentration of San rock engravings (UNESCO World Heritage). The engravings depict giraffe, elephant, lion, and rhino with extraordinary precision.

Accommodation: Lodge in Damaraland

Route: Full day in Damaraland

A dedicated day tracking Namibia's famous desert-adapted elephants β€” a rare subspecies that has evolved longer limbs and broader feet to traverse the rocky terrain. Expert guides share deep knowledge of these extraordinary animals.

Accommodation: Lodge in Damaraland

Route: Damaraland β†’ Etosha NP (approx. 300 km / 4–5 hrs)

Arrive at Etosha in time for an afternoon game drive and a sunset at the floodlit waterhole, where animals gather regardless of daylight. Lion, elephant, and rhino are regular visitors.

Accommodation: Camp or lodge in Etosha NP

Route: Full day in Etosha NP

A full day's safari across Etosha's famous white salt pan β€” one of the most extraordinary wildlife scenes on Earth. Visit multiple waterholes: Okaukuejo, Halali, and Namutoni each offer unique species and perspectives.

Accommodation: Camp or lodge in Etosha NP

Route: Full day in Etosha NP

Second day in Etosha for deeper exploration. Focus on tracking predators in the early morning and observing breeding herds at midday. The floodlit night waterhole again offers nocturnal wildlife after dinner.

Accommodation: Camp or lodge in Etosha NP

Route: Etosha β†’ Caprivi / Divundu region (approx. 5–6 hrs)

Accommodation: River lodge at Divundu

Route: Full day in the Caprivi / Bwabwata area

Game drive through Bwabwata National Park, a biodiversity corridor linking Namibia's waterways. Buffalo, elephant, and hippo are abundant. Afternoon cultural visit to a local community.

Accommodation: River lodge in Caprivi

Route: Caprivi β†’ Windhoek (long drive or internal flight)

Begin the journey back to the capital. The long road passes through changing vegetation zones β€” a final panorama of Namibia's diversity. Arrive in Windhoek for a farewell dinner.

Accommodation: Hotel in Windhoek

Route: Transfer to Hosea Kutako International Airport

Last morning in Windhoek β€” perhaps a final craft market visit or a coffee on Independence Avenue before your transfer to the airport. The great spaces of Namibia will stay with you long after you leave.
