This 18-day grand tour of Namibia takes you from the capital Windhoek through the Kalahari Desert and down to the dramatic Fish River Canyon in the deep south, before looping north through the Namib Desert's iconic dunes, the Skeleton Coast, the cultural heartland of Damaraland, and finally Etosha National Park. Route: Arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport
Arrive in the Namibian capital, where German colonial architecture meets modern African city life. Visit Christuskirche, the Tintenpalast (Parliament), and the National Museum. Stroll through local markets to discover traditional crafts.

Route: Windhoek β Kalahari (approx. 3β4 hrs south-east)
Enter the Kalahari β famous for its glowing rust-red dunes and surprising wildlife. A 4Γ4 safari reveals lions, oryx, springbok, and suricates. Explore the rock formations and learn about the remarkable adaptation of fauna to this arid environment.

Route: Kalahari β Fish River Canyon (approx. 6β7 hrs south)
Drive to the world's second-largest canyon. Stand at the rim and look down into 500-million-year-old rock formations that drop 550 metres. Panoramic hikes along the canyon rim reveal rock hyraxes, ostriches, and desert antelope.

Long but scenic drive north into the Namib Desert, the oldest desert on Earth. Arrive at Sesriem before dusk and watch the light play across the dunes.

Pre-dawn start to climb the dunes before the heat builds. Explore the surreal white pan of Deadvlei and its 900-year-old dead camelthorn trees. Hike the canyon of Sesriem. Finish with sunset photography across the dune sea.

Begin the return journey south, passing through varying savanna landscapes. A final game stop or viewpoint is often possible before settling in for the last overnight.
