Route: Kalahari β†’ Fish River Canyon (approx. 6–7 hrs south)

Drive to the world's second-largest canyon. Stand at the rim and look down into 500-million-year-old rock formations that drop 550 metres. Panoramic hikes along the canyon rim reveal rock hyraxes, ostriches, and desert antelope.

Accommodation: Lodge or camping with canyon view

Route: Full day at Fish River Canyon

Morning hike along canyon rim trails for sunrise views over the gorge. In the afternoon, soak in the hot springs at Ai-Ais at the canyon's southern end, or join a guided geological tour to learn about the canyon's ancient formation.
